One of the names from the past popped up and won. Still has it!Tony G has had a pretty interesting life since the start of the "poker boom".

Tony G burst onto the scene after clips of him berating other players at the poker table went viral. Who can forget his "blow up" against Ralph Perry?

Tony G would make a small fortune after starting Pokernews.com and eventually selling it to Pokerstars. After that, he got into politics, serving in the European Parliament and working as Chief Investment Officer for the Mayor of Vilnius, amongst other things.

Since getting into politics, Tony G has been largely absent from the poker world. After an unsuccessful European Parliament re-election attempt, however, Tony G has a great deal more time on his hands, and he seems intent on re-entering the world of poker.

This decision paid off in recent days after Tony G decided to play in the €25,500 Triton Short Deck event at the partypoker MILLIONS Europe in Rozvadov.

Tony G showed the world that he still has it, as he maneuvered his way through a field of 27 entries to take down the first place prize of €237,250. Here is how the final table finished out:

1. Tony G, €237,250
2. Yake Wu, €163,000
3. Leon Tsoukernik, €104,500
4. Cary Katz, €75,500
5. Choon Siow, €61,000

This was Tony G's first tournament victory since 2017, when he took down a High Roller event at the Aria for $353,280.

With his victory in the Short Deck event, Tony G now has over $6.3 million in total lifetime tournament earnings, putting him 176th on the all-time money list.
