Mori Eskandani Expects Live Events To Resume in Second Half of 2021

Live events are expected to make a strong return in the second half of 2020.According to PokerGO President Mori Eskandani, live poker events in Las Vegas will be a full go in the second half of 2021.

Eskandani, in fact, said he believes that the second half of 2021 will be the "busiest time for PokerGO we've ever had".

-

When the pandemic hit in March of last year, poker tournaments across the world had to be cancelled or moved online.

This proved to be troublesome for PokerGO, as many of their subscribers want to watch big buy-in "live" tournaments.

The good news is that Eskandani believes that these events, which include the likes of the Super High Roller Bowl, Poker Masters and U.S. Poker Open, will be returning this year.

The reason?

With nations like the United States, United Kingdom and Israel vaccinating more and more of their populations, there is a belief that things could start to return to "normal" in the second half of 2021.

Even if travel restrictions remain in place, there should be enough interest from US players to host the aforementioned events.

A return to "normal" would obviously be good news for the World Series of Poker as well.

If things continue to trend in the right direction, I would expect that the WSOP will attempt to host their festival in Las Vegas in the fall of 2021.

This would make for a very busy second half of 2021 for poker players, though certainly nobody would be complaining.
