Negreanu Outlasts David Coleman Heads-Up To Win $700,000
Published on July 12th, 2021 10:12 pm ESTIt's been a long and painful downswing for Daniel Negreanu, though the pain has finally come to an end.
Earlier tonight, Negreanu outlasted a tremendously tough final table to take down the 7th event of the PokerGo Cup, the $50,000 No Limit Hold'em event.
With the victory, Negreanu added another $700,000 to his total lifetime cashes.
More importantly, Negreanu ended his painful downswing just a few months before the start of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

As mentioned, the last number of months have been rough for Daniel Negreanu.
To start, Negreanu lost a high-profile online heads-up match against Doug Polk.
After that, Negreanu confidently took his newfound knowledge of heads-up poker to the "Heads Up Duel", where he promptly lost three matches in a row to Phil Hellmuth. The first loss was especially hard to take for Negreanu, as he squandered a massive chip lead and allowed Hellmuth to come storming back.
After that, Negreanu turned to the WSOP Online, where he didn't enjoy much success.

With the PokerGo Cup victory, Negreanu got back to his comfort zone, which is full-table "live" tournament poker.

With his victory tonight, Negreanu moves a bit closer to Justin Bonomo for second place on the all-time money list, though he is still far behind.
