Another high stakes duel is upon us featuring two of the biggest names in the game. Can Tom "durrrr" Dwan end Phil Hellmuth's long unbeaten streak, or will Hellmuth extend his perfect 7-0 record?

On Wednesday, August 25th, Dwan and Hellmuth will battle in the "High Stakes Duel III" on PokerGo.

This match came about after Nick Wright declined a rematch against Hellmuth after losing to the "Poker Brat" in their first match earlier this summer.

Hellmuth was looking for an opponent, and Dwan, in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker, elected to step up and take the match.

This is technically a Round II match in the "High Stakes Duel" format, which means that both players will be putting up $100,000 each, with $200,000 going to the winner.

Phil Hellmuth has beaten Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu and Nick Wright in the "High Stakes Duel" so far, and will be looking to add another big name to his list of wins.

Tom "durrrr" Dwan remains one of the most popular poker players in the world, despite the fact that he has largely remained off TV for the past ten years or so.

Hellmuth and Dwan have some history together, as Hellmuth famously went off on Dwan when the two locked horns at the 2008 NBC National Heads-Up Championship.

Hellmuth famously pushed all-in holding pocket Aces, while Dwan had pocket Tens. Dwan spiked a Ten, which caused Hellmuth to lose his cool. Dwan argued that his play was "standard" in heads-up No Limit Hold'em, and Hellmiuth clearly disagreed.

Dwan would challenge Hellmuth to a heads-up match, but that would never come to fruition.

After all these years, Dwan and Hellmuth will finally be playing heads-up.

Who will come out on top?
