winner of the 25k heads up world championship at full tilt poker - slaktarn - tournament logoSlaktarn outlasted an incredibly stacked field that included the likes of Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and Tom "durrrr" Dwan to take down the $25k Heads-Up PLO championship on Full Tilt Poker Sunday afternoon. "slaktarn" took down the first-place prize of $560,000 for his impressive victory, while Patrik Antonius collected $320k for finishing in second.

"slaktarn" had a 9,705 to 2,295 chip advantage when the final hand was played. Antonius raised to 150 from the small blind (blinds were 25/50) and "slaktarn" called. The flop came J-6-7 rainbow. "slaktarn" checked, Antonius bet 250, "slaktarn" raised to 1,050, and Antonius pushed all-in.

"slaktarn" snap-called holding top set (J-J-8-Q). Antonius turned up A-A-10-9, and would need an ace, an 8 for the straight or running hearts.

The turn was the nine of spades, and the river was the five of spades, and "slaktarn" took down the championship.

Antonius defeated Di "Urindanger" Dang to reach the finals, while "slaktarn" defeated "Ugadabugada" to make it in. Both "Urindanger" and "Ugadabugada" received $168k for making it to the semi-finals.

This victory caps off what has been a spectacular summer for "slaktarn". Since June 21st, "slaktarn" is up over $1.63 million dollars in high stakes cash games on Full Tilt Poker, with almost all of the profit coming from the high stakes PLO games. "slaktarn" has been dominating PLO on Full Tilt for months now, so he certainly didn't look out of place taking down the $25k Heads-Up PLO Championship.

Hac "trex313" Dang, David Benefield, "SteveSung" and Erich Kollmann all received $96,000 for making it to the Quarterfinals.

Congratulations to "slaktarn" on his impressive victory.
