Patrik Antonius managed to bank an $87,611.50 win on Monday, and has narrowed the lead that Dwan enjoys in the challenge.

Dwan is now up around $52,500 in the challenge after a total of 5,092 hands.

The challenge is now over 10% complete.

Many people (including myself) were wondering if Dwan and Antonius would ever continue the challenge, or if they had decided to abandon it.

Prior to Monday's action, the last session between the two players in the "challenge" had come on March 1st, and that was a very fast 226 hands.

It's good to see that Dwan and Antonius are continuing the challenge, and they are apparently planning on playing again on Tuesday. I'm sure that I'm not alone in hoping for an epic 6-7 hour battle one day, but I kind of doubt that this is going to happen.

Here is a recap of the two biggest hands from Monday's session:

1. $138,796.50 pot won by Patrik Antonius.

"Durrrr" raises from the SB, Antonius re-raises from the BB, "durrrr" calls.

The flop comes 7-Q-J rainbow.

Antonius bets $5,200, "durrrr" calls.

The turn is the four of hearts.

Antonius bets $15,600, "durrrr" raises all-in for about $45,000 more, Antonius calls.

Antonius shows J-5-5-J for a set of Jacks, while "durrrr" shows J-6-Q-6 for top two pair.

The river is the King of hearts, and Antonius is shipped the $139k pot.

2. $124,094.50 pot won by Patrik Antonius.

Antonius is in the SB, "durrrr" is in the BB.

Antonius raises, "durrrr" re-raises to $3,600, Antonius raises to $10,800, "durrrr" calls.

The flop comes 2-A-6 with two spades.

A check from "durrrr", Antonius bets $14,400, "durrrr" pushes the rest of his stack into the middle, and Antonius calls about $37k more.

Antonius shows 9-10-8-6 double-suited for a pair of sixes and a spade flush draw.

Dwan shows A-J-K-Q for a pair of aces.

The turn is the 7 of diamonds, which gives Antonius some more outs - now he has an open-ended straight draw to go along with his flush draw.

The river is the six of spades, and Antonius hits a flush to take down the $124k pot.
