-- king and high stakes poker logo --The sixth season of "High Stakes Poker" will begin taping later today at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

The game, which will feature a minimum buy-in of $200,000, will include some of the very best poker players in the world. Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein have all been announced as participants for season 6 of the show.

Subject to change, here is the line-up for today's session:

Tom Dwan
Phil Ivey
Daniel Negreanu
Antonio Esfandiari
Dario Minieri
Gus Hansen
Phil Hellmuth
Andreas Hoivold

Yevgeniy Timoshenko was apparently supposed to play today, but was subbed out at the last minute for Phil Hellmuth.

Dwan is coming off of a three-day battle with "Isildur1" on Full Tilt Poker and will be appearing with little/no sleep. Dwan has dropped a substantial sum of money over the past few days, which should make his appearance on HSP even more interesting.

This should be a great season, and I can't wait for it to air in February.
