Poker's best and brightest stars are descending on Monte Carlo, in what is sure to be a very interesting mix of young and aggressive online players and seasoned and aggressive live poker players.

The prize pool this year is going to be gigantic, as PokerStars is expected over 600 registered entrants to the main event. With a buy-in of 10,000 Euros, this will make for a prize pool of over 6 million euros, with a projected first place prize of 1.8 million euros.

The event is slated to take place between March 28th and April 2nd, with the winner being crowned on April 2nd.

It should provide for a very interesting dynamic, and I for one can't wait to see how the online young guns match up with the seasoned veterans. I mean, how about a table with elky, ActionJeff, Greg Raymer and Joe Hachem? The possibilities are endless, and I for one can't wait to see who makes it to the final table, and what kind of a mix there is between the online young guns and the experienced veterans. All in all, it should be a very entertaining event.
