What does the term "Dealer's Choice" mean in the world of poker? What does the term Dealer's Choice mean?
In poker, a "Dealer's Choice" tournament or cash game refers to when the play on the button (the dealer) gets to choose the game of choice.
This game of choice can either last just one hand or an entire orbit.
"Dealer's Choice" is often played in casual home games, though there are World Series of Poker events that are Dealer's Choice as well. Due to the large amount of different games that can be chosen, players are well advised to be well-rounded in many different poker variants in order to be successful.
