Over the past number of months, a number of high-profile poker professionals, including Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, have taken to Twitch.tv to stream some of their online poker exploits. The move towards poker pros streaming their online sessions was spurred on by the incredible success of players such as Jason Somerville and Jaime Staples, who both managed to parlay their popularity on Twitch.tv into sponsorship agreements with Pokerstars.

Pokerstars, for their part, has identified Twitch.tv as an important area of potential new growth and has launched themselves head-first into the site by establishing their own channel and asking some of their high-profile sponsors to launch streams.

Phil Hellmuth, for his part, has also decided to dive into the Twitch.tv pool, as he launched his channel earlier this week.

Phil Hellmuth's channel, which he calls "Poker Brat TV", has been heavy on the Open-Face Chinese poker so far. Hellmuth, who is based in the United States, is obviously not able to play on sites such as Pokerstars, so he is choosing to stream his PlayPineapple.com games instead.

Hellmuth's streams have been star-studded so far, as they have featured appearances from the likes of Phil Hellmuth and Liv Boeree.

Phil Hellmuth's streams have garnered him over 128,000 views and 6,486 followers so far.
