What does the term "pocket Kings" mean in the world of poker? What is the definition of the term "pocket Kings"?

In poker, "pocket Kings" refers to the starting hand of two Kings, or K-K.

What are Pocket Kings in the game of poker?  The King explains.In Texas Hold'em (which is the most popular version of poker in the world), pocket Kings are the second best starting hand.

In terms of hand strength, pocket Kings are only behind pocket Aces (A-A), and they are ahead of hands such as pocket Queens, pocket Jacks and A-K.

You are sitting in an online $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em cash game.

Somebody in early position pushes all-in pre-flop with a small stack. They are tilting.

Action folds around to you in the BB, and you look down at pocket Kings.

This is the second best hand in Hold'em, so unless your opponent is being tricky with pocket Aces, you are very likely far ahead in the hand.

You decide to call and end up winning the hand.
