Phil Ivey Remains on a Tear at King's Resort in Rozvadov

A popular poker player is enjoying a dream streak in recent tournament play.Phil Ivey has been on a run at the King's Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, as he has three cashes over the past week alone.

These three cashes, which include two second-place finishes, have added significantly to Ivey's bankroll:

2nd, €50k Short Deck High Roller, $429,274
2nd, €100k Short Deck Super High Roller, $923,639
9th, €25,500 Short Deck High Roller, $73,697

On top of that, Ivey is still alive in Event #12 of the 2019 WSOPE, which is the €100,000 Diamond Higher Roller No Limit Hold'em event.

While Ivey is very short-stacked heading into the final day of play in the event, he has locked up another €212,504 cash.

If Ivey could somehow spin things up early on the final day and take down the tournament, he would take home well over 2 million Euros, in addition to another World Series of Poker bracelet.

These past few weeks at King's Resort must seem like a dream to Ivey.

After all, he has had a very tumultuous last couple of years, as he has been in and out of the courts, losing two very high-profile cashes to Crockfords and the Borgata.

In addition, Ivey was forced to suffer more this past summer, as the Borgata seized his cash after he finished in the money at the $50k PPC.

In the Czech Republic, Ivey is far removed from the Borgata's lawyers, and he has been on a tear.

Given his current circumstances, I would expect to see plenty of Ivey in events such as the World Series of Poker Europe and Triton Series going forward.
