The Challenge: in January of 2009, Tom "durrrr" Dwan issued his "challenge" to the poker world (well, the poker world minus Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond).
The purpose of Dwan's challenge? To generate some action by offering potential opponents an offer that they couldn't refuse. Many players were avoiding Tom "durrrr" Dwan, especially in heads up games, so "durrrr" had to sweeten the pot.
The Terms: any opponent who chose to accept the "durrrr Challenge" had to agree to these terms:
-minimum of 4 tables played simultaneously
-minimum of 50,000 hands
-$200/$400 blinds minimum
-Dwan's opponent could choose the game (either No Limit Hold'em or Pot Limit Omaha)
-any player who drops below 75 BBs must reload
If Tom "durrrr" Dwan is up $1 or more after rake after the 50,000 hands have been completed, then Dwan's opponent will have to pay Dwan $500,000, in addition to anything that was won during the course of the challenge.
If Dwan's opponent is up $1 ore more after rake after the 50,000 hands have been completed, then Dwan will have to pay his opponent $1.5 million, in addition to anything that was won during the course of the challenge.

-the first "durrrr" Challenge was apparently accepted by Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine and Phil Ivey
-the "durrrr" Challenge is open to anybody except for Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond
